There are essentially two ways in which hotels give out their rates to be sold online :
- Direct Method – where the hotel updates their rates and availability on a daily ongoing basis, so that what you see online is the latest up to date situation.
- Contract Method – where the hotel has a longer term agreement with a supplier to provide a certain number of rooms every night but at a discounted price. These prices are discounted because of bulk-buying. For example, a supplier might have an allocation of 10 rooms every night for the rest of the year.

If you do a search for a Hotel using the search boxes above here on this website, www.RoomexDirect.com , you will be searching the availability and prices that the hotels have loaded directly themselves. This allows you to get right up to the last minute availability. Typically you will just pay a booking deposit on this website.
If you do a search on our other website, www.Roomex.com , where again you can search for hotels in Ireland and the rest of the world, you will be searching our allocation contract hotels. Typically, you will be paying in full in advance for these hotels on this other website.
Both methods of searching have their own advantages, you may find availability on one, but not on the other, you may get a better rate on one over another. We recommend that to get the best offer, you do a search on both websites, www.RoomexDirect.com and www.Roomex.com !
Either way, if you book a hotel room through the Roomex Hotel Network, the hotel is contracted to honour that booking at that rate. We process several thousand bookings every month and have a very good relationship with both our customers and the hotels themselves.
